Community Resource Guide Provides a comprehensive guide to all local resources for the homeless, including food assistance, clothing, emergency shelter, low-cost housing, emergency medical care, counseling, training and employment.
Housing Resources Provides a list of government subsidized housing and other low-income housing options in Gainesville and Alachua County.
Homeless Street Card Offers important legal, housing, and meal information to homeless persons and provides a list of other services available.
U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Homeless Initiative Information about resources for homeless and at-risk veterans and their families, such as housing assistance, employment programs, health care, and mental health services.

Allows those how are currently homeless to have a hot meal at listed restaurants. These cards can be obtained from the Alachua County Housing Authority Fridays from 9 till noon as well as scheduled dates at St. Francis house

  • Free Meals for Children 0-18: The Alachua County Food Services Program is providing free meals to any child between 0-18 years of age. Participating sites are providing free, nutritious breakfast and lunch. For a list of locations and to register, please visit
